Shoutout to the NAACP for starting 2017 with headline-grabbing civil disobedience: they’re staging a sit-in at Senator Jeff Sessions’ Mobile, Alabama office. Their demand? Withdraw as nominee to be Trump’s attorney general. Keep in mind this was a man who couldn’t get appointed for various positions in national and state governments since the 1980s for his blatantly racist conduct.
